Maria Shelley
This audio tape, read by Eddie the Eagle is a reading of The Diamond of Shapanna, a book written for teenagers by Maria. She has been interviewed by many radio stations and newspapers, both local and national, and has had articles written about her in a number of magazines.
Her second book, 'Simon the Snowman', is about two young girls who find and befriend a snowman. Maria often visits schools and nurseries to tell them of their experiences and to demonstrate that whatever difficulties they face in life, with determination these can always be overcome.

Maria is a local artist in Gloucestershire who specialises in photographing life but also paint using a wide range of media, such as acrylics, water-colours and crayons. Despite her struggle with dyslexia Maria has published now, three children's books. She both writes and illustrates her books and is also currently recording a cd which will be released in the near future!
