amongst the Cotswold Hills. The market is held in the square,
around the village green, where the famous old stocks are
situated.
The
market hosts a small number of artisan producers from around the area who gather in the town square once a month. Stalls include of produce from the local area,
including Windrush Valley Goat Dairy with their creamy soft goats cheese, Bishopstone Cheese with a range of unpasteurised soft and hard cheeses, and Gloucestershire Camembert from Ruddle Court in the Forest of Dean, Moreton Mushrooms, Donnington trout from nearby lakes, vegetables
and fruits in season, free
range eggs, bread, pies and pastries, country honey, and a range
of locally reared meats including pork, beef and lamb. There are usually around 16 stalls.
With
regular pottery stalls from spring through 'till Christmas, the famous fossil stall run by local geologist Mark Varah, and occasional competitions for customers, why
not join us for a picnic on the green at Stow on the Wold
Farmers Market?
